Thanks, Andrew, for taking the time to read my post. Subconscious bias is definitely a topic that is worth delving into. I think in this piece, I was interested in looking at some of the structural and cultural issues facing policing, including the domination model and systemic racism. I agree, though, that taking a look at the subconscious bias of individual officers themselves would be worth a look and how our society reinforces those biases. There has been some good writing on that recently, including coverage of interesting online tests individuals can take to test their own bias, and interesting reports about bias and security/policing. Thanks for your insight.

You are right, Jason Kenney lied and used the Filipino community, especially the naive Filipino caregivers Kenney used the Live in caregiver program( LCP ) as a Canada wide voting machine but obviously the Filipino community is waking up to the fact that the Live in caregiver program is in complete disarray and numbers are rapidly declining which was always Kenney 's goal.Apparently, the Conservative party would love to eliminate the LCP but can't because it would cost them the very powerful Filipino votes.This scheme won't work in 2015 ....GUARANTEED !!

I think it was definitely a success, as noted above. The tech worked well, and we have some very active and interested folks joining us remotely. I think that even the small group breakout went well, a very lively discussion happened online as well, which we were able to report back to the group in the room.
